The 2018 Formula DRIFT season has come to an end with Team Achilles driver Travis Reeder taking the PRO2 Championship and Dirk Stratton winning the PRO Rookie of the Year title.

“I could not be prouder of the drivers who compete for Achilles in Formula DRIFT, said Director of Marketing, Cheralyn Hale.  From Forrest Wang taking 2nd place at Long Beach after his return the series to Kristaps Bluss winning the event at Atlanta, the driving this year was at another level.  Watching Travis Reeder take home the PRO2 championship and seeing Dirk Stratton clinch the PRO Rookie of the Year at Irwindale was amazing!”

Drivers and crew from Team Achilles also won several awards at the year end banquet.  Several of these awards are voted on by their peers, while other are based on event statistics.

• BEST DRIFTING STYLE (the driver with the best style throughout the 2018 season) – Forrest Wang
• SPIRIT OF DRIFTING (the driver who best represented the sport of Drifting during 2018 with his tenacity, professionalism, and positivity. He also takes time to mentor and help up-and-coming drivers) – Michael Essa
• CREW CHIEF OF THE YEAR – Garret Nikolich (Forrest Wang – Get Nuts Lab)
• COMEBACK OF THE YEAR – (the biggest jump from the driver’s qualifying position to finishing result) – Matt Coffman
